Biografía:
Formado em 1979 por Steve Drewett (guitarra e vocal), Colin Dredd (baixo) e Simon Lomond (bateria) na cidade de Harlow (UK), influenciados principalmente por The Clash e Ramones e pela grande cena musical de punk rock que acontecia na Inglaterra.
Ao longo da década de 80, o "Newtown" caiu do nome, e a banda passou a se chamar apenas Neurotics, ampliando também seu estilo musical. Nessa época, lançaram diversos discos pelo selo Jungle Records.
