This is easy to play, and you can make it sound good by adding little walks up and down on the bass notes. This is one of the first songs I started using bass notes on when I taught myself to play, so I'm going spell out how to do it for any beginners.
I am using C* and G* to denote changes in bass notes. The progression for each is as follows:
C* - C bass note, strum C a couple times, B bass note, strum C a couple times, A bass note, strum C a couple times, G bass note, A bass note, B bass note. (no strumming when you walk back up)
G* - Strum G a couple of times, G bass note, A bass note, B bass note. (note: next chord will be C or Am, with a C bass note, so it fits the progression.) Mr. Bojangles by ...? -----------------
