Muse es una banda de rock alternativo originaria de la ciudad de Teignmouth, Devon (Inglaterra) formada en 1994 por Matthew Bellamy (voz, guitarra, y teclado), Dominic Howard (batería) y Chris Wolstenholme (bajo, teclados, coros).
Los tres eran amigos desde el colegio y cambiaron el nombre de la banda en varias ocasiones (Ghotic Plage, Fixed Penalty y Rocket Baby Dolls) antes de adoptar el de Muse. Su sonido es una mezcla de rock alternativo y electronica
