Biografía:
Michael Gordon Oldfield (Reading, Inglaterra, 15 de mayo de 1953) es un compositor y multi-instrumentista británico.
Su padre, Raymond Oldfield, adquirió una guitarra cuando servía en la Royal Air Force en Egipto durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Mike recuerda cómo su padre "solía tocar la guitarra cada Nochebuena, cantando la única canción que sabía tocar, 'Danny Boy'". Mike también atribuyó el hecho de que su interés por la música
