Biografía:
Major Lazer es el resultado de la colaboración, en primera instancia, entre Switch y Diplo, quienes tras el éxito obtenido con la producción conjunta de Paper Planes de M.I.A. decidieron experimentar en el estudio y tratar de editar un álbum hecho para las pistas de baile. Debido a diferencias artísticas, Switch se alejó del proyecto a finales del 2011. Jillionaire (DJ y productor) y Walshy Fire (perteneciente a la banda de dancehall Black Chiney)
