Biografía:
Influenciados por pioneros de la escena shoegaze e iconos de postpunk, Longwave inicia su carrera musical en 1999 cuando Steve Schlitz (voz/guitarra), Shannon Ferguson (guitarra), Dave Marchese (bajo), y Miguel James (bateria) congregados en un pequeño estudio en Nueva York (de propiedad del guitarrista a pesar de todos provenir de las afueras de esa ciudad) para grabar el material de demostración, lograron reunir el registro suficiente para lanzar su primer LP de manera independiente llamado “Endsongs”
