Biografía:
John Barry nació en York el 03-11-1933 y murió el 30-01-2011. El jazz ha influido en sus primeras composiciones y se refleja perfectamente también en su primer grupo: The John Barry Seven.
La familia de Barry ha estado dedicada siempre al negocio del cine, pero fue durante su Servicio Nacional cuando el joven John empezó a desarrollarse como músico, después de tomar un curso por correspondencia (con el compositor de jazz Bill Russo) y trabajar como arreglista para varias de las bandas musicales de aquel entonces.
