Biografía:
Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Morton (nacido, probablemente, el 20 de septiembre de 1885 ó el 20 de octubre de 1890 y muerto el 10 de julio de 1941), fue un pianista, compositor y director de banda de jazz estadounidense. Se le considera el primer compositor de jazz propiamente dicho y él mismo, en su tendencia a autopublicitarse, se denominó como el creador del jazz.
