Biografía:
Jeff Lynne nace en Birmingham el 30 de diciembre de 1947. Sus primeros pasos musicales, siendo apenas un adolescente, los lleva a cabo en un grupo local llamado The Chads. Posteriormente, funda Idle Race en 1967. Después de grabar dos espléndidos discos, con poco éxito comercial, pero muy buenas críticas, se une a The Move en 1969, a petición de su líder, Roy Wood. Allí coincide con Bev Bevan, futuro batería de la Electric Light Orchestra.
