Janet Damita Jo Jackson (16 de mayo de 1966, Gary, Indiana, Estados Unidos) es una cantante estadounidense de R&B/Urban, Pop y Dance, productora y actriz. Ella fue una de las estrellas femeninas con más éxito comercial del pop de las décadas de 1980 y 1990, en esta última década fue considerada como una de las más exitosas, solamente por detrás de cantantes como Madonna, Mariah Carey, Céline Dion y Whitney Houston.
Siendo la menor de los Jackson empezó su carrera con tan sólo 7 años.
