Sink to the Bottom Collingwood/Schlesinger Fountains of Wayne, 1996
Verse I [solo voice and guitar]:
N.C [A] EG#C#mA I wanna sink to the bottom with you [A] EG#C#mA I wanna sink to the bottom with you EG#C#mA The ocean is big and blue [A] EG#C#m I just wanna sink to the bottom with you
Chorus [band enters]: AEG#C#m Cars on the highway, planes in the air AEG#C#m Everyone else is going somewhere AEG#C#m But I'm going nowhere, getting there soon AEG#C#m I might as well just sink down with you
Verse II:
I wanna sink to the bottom with you I wanna sink to the bottom with you The ocean is big and blue I just wanna sink to the bottom with you
I just wanna...
Solo over same chords
Chorus II:
Out on the highway, up in the air Everyone else is going somewhere They're going nowhere, and I'll be there too I might as well go under with you
Repeat Verse I (2x)
I just wanna...repeat end on E
Pretty simple. Amazing what can still be done with four chords and some imagination. They might leave out the C#m on the solo part; I couldn't really tell.
