Driver 67 was the name chosen for a one-off song in 1978 entitled "Car 67" written by Paul Phillips and Pete Zorn and was sung by Phillips. The band name, an alias of the group Tax Loss, and the single was so successful that the band continued to use this name for another two singles before reverting back to Tax Loss.
