Steven Paul Smith (6 de agosto de 1969 – 21 de octubre de 2003), más conocido como Elliott Smith, fue un cantautor estadounidense de indie pop. Su instrumento principal fue la guitarra acústica, aunque también utilizaba el piano, el clarinete, el bajo, la armónica y la batería. Smith tenía una suave voz característica y habitualmente recurría a la grabación multipista de su propia voz para crear armonías vocales.
