FBb And if you fell to your death today,
Dm I hope that heaven is your resting place
DmCF I heard the doctors put your chest in pain
CBb then that could've been the medicine
C And now you're lying in the bed again
C Either way I'll cry with the rest of them
Pre-Chorus:
BbFDm And my father told me son
F It's not his fault he doesn't know your face
BbFDm And you're not the only one
BbFC Although my grandma used to say, he used to see
Chorus:
DmBb Darling hold me in arms the way you did last night
GmC And your life inside, a little while with you more
DmBb I could look into your eyes until the sun comes up
GmC And we're wrapped in light, in life and love
DmBb Put your open lips on mine, slowly let them shut
GmC for they're designed to be together
DmBb With your body next to mine our hearts will beat as one
GmC And we'll set alight, we're afire love
Interlude: FGmBbC
