Tras unos años tocando donde podían y editando cdr´s, el dúo formado por John McCualey y el batería Dennis Ryan decide en el 2007, tras editar su debut “War Elephant”, convertirse en una banda sólida y versátil y pasar a ser un quinteto. Aunque se les ha colgado etiquetas como freak folk, lo de Deer Tick se debería catalogar simplemente como rock´n´roll, algo que se hace más patente en su nueva entrega, el rotundo “Born On Flag Day”.
