Su verdadero nombre era Douglas Colvin, nacido el 18 de Septiembre de 1952,en Virginia, Estados Unidos. La gente lo conoce como uno de los hombres duros de The Ramones. Dee Dee, fue el gran compositor de la banda neoyorkina, y padres del Punk Rock, aunque su adicción a las drogas terminó con su relación con el resto de la banda, para terminar, en 2002 con su vida.
Editó varios discos y tocó con los Chinesse Dragons, pero, a fin de cuentas, siempre fue recordado como el gran Dee Dee Ramone.
