This is the first song I've tabbed for OLGA so please, bear with me. Any comments, questions or corrections would greatly be appreciated. So E-Mail me if you want to!
*****the tone of the instrument which comes in after the intro is so weird-and cool! I can't tell if it's a guitar or an organ.(it said in the liner notes that a guy played organ for one song) In any case I arranged it for guitar.*******
*/*/*/* NOTE */*/*/* When **** is next to a chord it means that there are 4 muted 16th note slashes using the G-chord Starting on the 4th beat. Example: 1 2 3 4 e a u / / / /
INTRO
EmBCG
Guitar 2 (or organ) fades-in on last beat of intro
EmBCG When one's heart creates, one's soul doesn't owe
D So I wash away stains of yesterday
EmC5 Then tempt my heart with love's display
(Play Chorus again)
Guitar interlude (couldn't quite call this a solo!) It sounds approximately right to me
(again, there's that famous repeat sign) E-------------------------------------------------------------------------|l B---13-13----12-12----10-10-8-8-8-8----13-13----12-12----10-10------------|l G---12-12----12-12----12-12-9-9-9-9----12-12----12-12----12-12---12-------|l D----------------------------------------------------------------12-------|l A-------------------------------------------------------------------------|l E-------------------------------------------------------------------------|l *listen for the muted slashes between each chord*
DRUM BEAT (4 Bars)
...I think so?
Finger-pick all this part (Oh,come on! You must get the idea by now!) E------7--------------------7-------------------7---------------3---------|l B------8--------------------8-------------------8---------------3--.------|l G---------------------------------------------------------------4---------|l D---------------------------------------------------------------5--.------|l A--------------------------------------3------------------------5---------|l E---3----------------3------------------------------------------3---------|l
*play last chord very gently*
Chorus w/acoustic guitar (no break with muting)
Rest of band kicks-in still with chorus (break with muting)
Play chorus chords (no vocals or break w/ muting) 3 times
Well, I did as good as I could...
This truly is a great song. But I was disappointed that, like the other songs on "Disciplined Breakdown", there are no real solos. Ross Childress is an extremely talented guitarist, Why don't they let him solo? It would make the great tunes even better.
