Ms. Rachel Ries hails from the inspiring, vast expanses of South Dakota. There she first began raising her melodious and lilting voice while learning to appreciate clean, country living. That good life sadly aside for a time, she can be found somewhere in Chicago's west side, wide-eyed and only half-ways citified; writing up a storm.

Classically trained in voice, piano, violin and viola, Rachel marries sophisticated, vintage musicality to smart lyrics.
