If you once found yourself at a concert where roars of laughter accompanied driving melodies and a soaring voice, you might well have been at a Katie Reider show. This folk-rock musician combined John Mayer charisma, with Ellen DeGeneres wit, and topped it all off with a songwriting style reminiscent of an early Shawn Colvin. Her band had a way of delivering the music in a premium package by laying melodies and grooves behind her strong vocals and acoustic guitar.
