This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

(Note: This version is transposed -4 semitones from the original because I
find this key easier to play in on piano. Just set the transpose function
above to 'up 4 half-steps' if you want the original key. Also, the chords in parenthesis
are alternate chords--both sound good, but I like the first best.)

Intro: G--Dm7--Bb--F/A--Ab/Bb

Am
Came in from a rainy thursday
C D
on the avenue
Am C D
thought I heard you talking softly
Am
I turned on the lights, the tv
C D
and the radio
Am C D
still I can't escape the ghost of you
Am
What is happened to it all?
Em
Crazy, some say
B7/Eb C D
Where is the life that I recognize?
G
gone away

G DM7(or Dm)
But I won't cry for yesterday
Bb
there's an ordinary world
F/A C
somehow I have to find
G DM7(or Dm)
And as I try to make my way
Bb
to the ordinary world
F/A Ab/Bb
I will learn to survive

Fill: Am--F/A--D/A

Am
Passion or coincidence
C D
once prompted you to say
Am C D
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Am
Well now pride's gone out the window
C D
cross the rooftops, runaway
Am C D
left me in the vacuum of my heart
Am
What is happening to me?
Em
Crazy, some say
B7/Eb C D
Where is my friend when I need you most?
G
Gone away

G Dm7(or Dm)
But I won't cry for yesterday
Bb
there's an ordinary world
F/A C
somehow I have to find
G Dm7(or Dm)
And as I try to make my way
Bb
to the ordinary world
F/A C
I will learn to survive

(Guitar Solo)
G--Dm7(or Dm)--Bb--F/A--C
G--Dm7(or Dm)--Bb--F/A--Ab/Bb

(Same pattern for the rest of the song)
Papers in the roadside
tell of suffering and greed
feared today, forgot tomorrow
ooh, here beside the news
of holy war and holy need
ours is just a little sorrowed talk

And I don't cry for yesterday
there's an ordinary world
somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive

every world is my world
(I will learn to survive)
any world is my world
(I will learn to survive)
any world is my world
every world is my world
