Dropkick Murphys is a punk rock band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts, United States in 1996. First playing together in the basement of a friend's barbershop, the band made a name for itself because of its relentless touring and for its annual St. Patrick's Day weekend shows in Boston. The band's songs often deal with Celtic influences, and the working-class environment in which the band members grew up.
The band put out a series of EPs and was signed by Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong's label Hellcat Records.

Chorus:
C5B5A5G5 Hail, hail the gang's all here B5A5G5 Leave your worries at the door boy they're not going anywhere C5B5A5G5 Hail, hail the gang's all here B5 A5 Start playing intro When the goin gets though I know my friends will still be there
Verse 2: play like verse 1
When the going gets tough, I know my friends will still be there Well you're walking down the road and the wind is in your face You're down and out and the unemployment line's a mile long The money in your pocket may not get you through the day But cheer up son I know a place where mugs like us belong, singin
Chorus: play like before
Hail, hail the gang's all here Leave your worries at the door boy they're not goin anywhere Hail, hail the gang's all here When the goin gets tough I know my friend will still be there
Verse 3: play like other verses
Pick your heart up off the ground though I'm sure it weights a ton You're no better or no worse than any mothers son Though you're up against all odds and you're backed against the wall You recall the cheer, "The Gang's All Here" and shout
Just play the chorus a few more times and you're done.
