Dr. Dog is a indie rock group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which formed in 1999. The current lineup consists of Scott "Taxi" McMicken (vocals, guitar), Toby "Tables" Leaman (vocals, bass), Zach "Text" Miller (keyboards, guitar), Frank "Thanks" McElroy (guitar) and Eric "Teach" Slick (drums).
"There's a little folk, blues, indie rock, soul, bluegrass--and a whole lot of down-home harmonizing. It conjures images of old friends sitting on a porch swapping instruments and just letting the tape recorder run." - Doug Wallen

[Verse 1] AC#mD Well the farmer wakes a rooster up and sees her in the sky AC#mD And a ghost can only say hello by kissing you goodbye AC#mD And a call came in without a ring and a word was never spoke AC#mD They're laughing on the other line like someone heard that someone told a joke
AC#mD x 2
[Verse 2] AC#mD Well it's the kind of night to make you crazy as the corn AC#mD Just about the time you died and just as you were born AC#mD Well the streets are hot; they're full of rage and everyone's on drugs AC#mD I must be outta my head, I must have lost a lot of blood
[Chorus] A I must have lost a lot of blood C#mD I must have lost a lot of blood A I must have lost a lot of blood C#mD I must have lost a lot of blood
D
[Verse 3] AC#mD Well the lightning strikes a heavy post; smoke dressed up in diamond clothes AC#mD A clock so stiff it can't unwind, Lord knows what's on the Devil's mind AC#mD There ain't no back then, no down the line, there's nothing more to this grand design AC#mD I'm blinded by the camera's flash that captured waves that never crash, yeah
[Chorus] AC#mD I must have lost a lot of blood AC#mD I must have lost a lot of blood AC#mD I must have lost a lot of blood
[Verse 4] AC#mD Why do I feel like I could not be closer as I slowly drift further away? AC#mD Why does it feel like I'm at the beginning when everyone calls it a day? AC#mD I wash my clothes in turpentine; I shave on Christmas Eve AC#mD And I'm learning how to not exist 'cause that's what I, that's what I believe
[Chorus] AC#mD I must have lost a lot of blood AC#mD I must have lost a lot of blood AC#mD I must have lost a lot of blood
D
[Verse 5] AC#mD Well a dollar in the bottle breaks and the rain is at my door AC#mD And the cops they are about as good as pennies on the floor AC#mD Well I haven't been home since I was a kid, what have I done, whatever I did AC#mDAC#m I'll be the sun that shines from afar where nobody knows, nobody knows who you are
[Outro] DAC#m Ah, nobody knows, nobody knows who you are DAC#m Yeah, nobody knows, nobody knows who you are DAC#m Nobody knows, nobody knows who you are DAC#m Nobody knows, nobody knows who you are DAC#m Nobody knows, nobody knows who you are DAC#m Nobody knows, nobody knows who you are
