Dr. Dog is a indie rock group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which formed in 1999. The current lineup consists of Scott "Taxi" McMicken (vocals, guitar), Toby "Tables" Leaman (vocals, bass), Zach "Text" Miller (keyboards, guitar), Frank "Thanks" McElroy (guitar) and Eric "Teach" Slick (drums).
"There's a little folk, blues, indie rock, soul, bluegrass--and a whole lot of down-home harmonizing. It conjures images of old friends sitting on a porch swapping instruments and just letting the tape recorder run." - Doug Wallen
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Great song. It keeps the same chords through the whole song. Just listen to it and follow along.
[Verse 1]
C Jackie wants a black eye F Some proof that she's been hit G And John wants the answers FC But the questions just don't quit
(same chords progression)
And we're sitting in the rain And we're feeling like the weather. You could say that we're alone But we're lonely together
[Chorus] (same as verse)
We're all in it together now As we all fall apart And we're swapping little pieces Of our broken little hearts.
[Verse 2] (same as verse 1)
Jackie is jumping in the quicksand But it isn't what you think. She's safe because she knows The more you fight, the more you sink And John is following the black cloud To keep him from the sun. So he bends over now Something has finally begun.
[Chorus] (same as verse)
And we're all in it together now As we all fall apart And we're swapping little pieces Of our broken little hearts.
[Verse 3] (same as verse 1)
And we've been hurting so long That our pleasure is our pain. Are we madly in love Or are we madly insane? When yesterday's love defines you And today that love is gone Tomorrow keeps you guessing The roller coaster is rolling on.
[Chorus] (same as verse)
And we're all in it together now As we all fall apart And we're swapping little pieces Of our broken little hearts. And we're all in it together now As we all fall apart And we're swapping little pieces Of our broken little hearts.
