Crywank are a three-piece DIY folk band from Manchester, England. They focus mostly on sad songs.
Crywank started in 2009 with James Clayton attempting to do some folk-punk influenced acoustic music with no previous experience playing guitar. The first album "James is going to die soon" was inspired by a painful break up. James stated that "I wrote these songs out of frustration and sadness and they ended up making me feel a lot better, I hope they have a similar effect on you".

AE My brain would never let me forget you F# it's not like you're lingering A it's more like your haunting
A If there was lacuna E I wonder if I would delete you F#A just because I know you wouldn't need to A At times it feels like E I'm pushed against the wall F#A at the back of your mind
A why don't you ask any questions E do you really not care now F# do you just talk about resteraunts A and the names you barely know
A I try to make myself not care E but at night you are still there F# You might be a chapter in my life A but you're still the star of my dreams
A I see the ones I love suck up E I see the boundries of politeness F# I see my fist getting clenched as i aim for my bed A and I spend the night beating the shit out of my mattress
AE My brain would never let me forget you F# it's not like you're lingering A it's more like your haunting
