Deep Purple is an English hard rock band that formed in Hertfordshire in 1968. They're regarded as pioneers of the popular music genre of heavy metal along such acts as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Ian Gillan's singing and Ritchie Blackmore's playing approach proved to be influential to many rock bands of 1970s and 1980s (including but not limited to Rob Halford of "Judas Priest" and Brian May of "Queen"). "Deep Purple" were also very influential to progressive music as well

Key: B flat

[Verse 2] (verse 1 chords)
I didn't believe she was devil's sperm; she said, "Curse you all, you'll never learn! When I leave there's no return!" The people laughed till she said, "Burn!" Warning came, no one cared; earth was shakin', we stood and stared. When it came no one was spared; Still I hear "Burn!"
[Chorus]
DmBb You know we had no time, AmBb we could not even try, DmBb/DC/DGm You know we had no time.
[Verse 3] (verse 1 chords)
The sky is red, I don't understand; past midnight, I still see the land. People are sayin' the woman is damned; she makes you burn with a wave of her hand. Warning came, no one cared; earth was shakin, we stood and stared. When it came no one was spared. Still I hear "Burn!"
