David Allan Coe - Just In Time (To Watch Love Die)
D There?s a stack of daily papers on her doorstep GA And the grass has grown up more than she'd allow D Yes, it seems to me to be a little more like a vacation GAD Never knew that I'd miss her until now.
[Chorus] GAD From both ends the candle seems to burn much brighter GAD Guess she saw the flame I tried so hard to hide GAD Looks like I?m the one that got caught in the middle G Burnt my finger DCD I got there Just In Time To Watch Love Die CDGDAGD Yes, I got there Just In Time To Watch Love Die.
D There's a change of address blank inside the mailbox GA And the key shed usually leave for me not here D Yes, its plain to see that she no longer wants an explanation GAD Guess I should have known I would not find her here
[Chorus 2] GAD From both ends the candle seems to burn much brighter GAD I Guess she saw the flame I tried so hard to hide GAD Looks like I?m the one that got caught in the middle G Burnt my finger DCD I got there Just In Time To Watch Love Die CDGDAGD But I got there much to late to say goodbye.
