David Gahan (born May 9, 1962 in Epping, Essex, England) is the baritone lead singer for English electro stalwarts, Depeche Mode. Dave released his first solo album titled Paper Monsters in 2003 to critical acclaim. Lyrically, it had strong autobiographical elements and musically was tinged with a rockier sound than previous DM releases. Three UK singles, a tour and live DVD followed..
Dave subsequently penned a couple of tracks on Depeche Mode's next album, the 2005 effort Playing the Angel.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
This one is the last track from the last Gahan's album "Houglass". It wasn't very easy to pick up tabs for this atmospheric song, but tried to make the basic part of it as in the original :) If you have some questions about it, please, e-mail me on: [email protected]
F# I need some company A# I need you tonight A You don't have to talk to me E And don't be polite
F# Take my body and soul A I feel so old
Chorus: F# Down On the ground E There's no one around And the snow is falling F# Down On the ground E It's where I'm bound To be up by morning F# Down
Just lay down beside of me You know what I like Take what you want from me We don't have to fight
Take my body and soul I feel so old
Down On the ground There's no one around And the snow is falling Down On the ground It's where I'm bound To be up by morning Down
And you comfort me Until my legs go weak Hold me closer We won't speak
Down On the ground There's no one around And the snow is falling Down On the ground It's where I'm bound To be up by morning Down
Oh we all keep falling All down And the world keeps turning
