Coldplay is a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1996. The band's singer/pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion, met at University College London and came together from 1996 to 1998. During these two years, the band changed names from Pectoralz to Starfish and, finally, to Coldplay. Creative director and former manager Phil Harvey is often referred to as the fifth member by the band.

I can't really explain the strumming pattern so you can try to listen to my youtube video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ25kEv6uFE to figure it out, or make your own and see what you come up with! I didn't play the chords on the second line of the lyrics right in the video because I was too eager to post it without making sure it was right haha. But the chords below should all be correct except for the outro which is different from the album version for the purpose of my cover. Hope this helps and good luck!
Standard Tuning * = hammer on or pull off happens at some point while playing this chord(again watch my cover on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ25kEv6uFE to figure them out or do it by ear, whichever works)
