G Well I was hauling logs ten years ago D The news was out on the radio Em That a shot was fired the night before C And a local man lay dead on the floor G And the dust was flying in the lumberyard D Lights were flashing on two black cars Em I said, sheriff I ain't done nothing wrong C (hold) He just knocked me down and put the handcuffs on
GD I was framed, they took me away EmC Like I was the only one to blame GD Framed, guilty they said EmC Railroaded me on a one way train GD Framed, and on judgement day EmC They want me to hang my head in shame GD But I was framed, and that's all I'll say EmC Now don't be running down my name G I was framed

G Barbara Jo cried through the glass D At the murder trial I seen her last Em I loved that woman but now she's free C She turned away when they sentenced me G And the guilty man ain't never told D Ten years later they put me on the road Em And I'll always say that I got screwed C (hold) I'm a brand new man with the same attitude
GD I was framed, they took me away EmC Like I was the only one to blame GD Framed, guilty they said EmC Railroaded me on a one way train GD Framed, and on judgement day EmC They want me to hang my head in shame GD But I was framed, and that's all I'll say EmC Now don't be running down my name GDEmC I was framed

G Now the guilty man paid long ago D He's the same man who got laid low Em When he took my wife he was hell bound C (hold) Even if I did gun him down
GD I was framed, they took me away EmC Like I was the only one to blame GD Framed, guilty they said EmC Railroaded me on a one way train GD Framed, and on judgement day EmC They want me to hang my head in shame GD But I was framed, and that's all I'll say EmC Now don't be running down my name GDEmC I was framed GDEmC I was framed
