In August 2008, Alex Day searched the web for “Time Lord Rock” - a subsection of music he thought would exist to celebrate the TV show Doctor Who - but got no results. Shortening the term to ‘Trock’, he introduced the concept to his YouTube viewers, launching the music with a self-penned song called An Awful Lot Of Running (inspired by the words of Jenny at the end of the 2008 episode ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’).
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
B I've met so many different faces E So many different personalitys B My taste change I get cravings E There's some things you can't take away from me F# You can't stop me dreaming
Chorus:
BA# I used to be old but now I feel young D#mG# 'Cuz I was a boy when I learned how to run F#E I could never be settled in one time or place BA# I will never stop 'cuz I know what's right D#mG# Get in my way and I'll burst into light F#E I keep dying and living changing my ways E7 But I was a teenage rebel and I stay the same
B , G# , F# , E
Vers 2
B It might feel like you're defeated E But I know that we all long to be set free B So overcome your monsters E Rise up there is just one thing you need F# Something to believe in
Alex then sings:
BA# I used to be old but now I feel young D#mG# 'Cuz I was a boy when I learned how to run F#E I could never be settled in one time or place
After that both sing:
BA# I will never stop 'cuz I know what's right D#mG# Get in my way and I'll burst into light F#E I keep dying and living changing my ways E7 But I was a teenage rebel and I stay the same
