Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949), nicknamed "The Boss," is an American singer-songwriter and leader of the E Street Band. He is recognized for his poetic lyrics, his Jersey Shore roots, his distinctive voice, and his lengthy, energetic stage performances.
Springsteen has recorded both rock albums and more somber folk-oriented works. His most successful studio albums, Born to Run (1975) and Born in the U.S.A. (1984), find pleasures in the struggles of daily American life.

D We said we'd walk together, baby come what may DBm That come the twilight, should we loose our way GD If as we're walking, your hand should slip free Bm I'll wait for you G should I fall behind D Wait for me
D We swore we'd travel, darling side by side Bm We'd help each other, stay in stride GD But each lover's steps fall so differently Bm But I'll wait for you GD And if I should fall behind wait for me
GD Now everyone dreams of a love lasting and true GBm But you and I know what this world can do GD So let's make our steps clear that the other may see Bm And I'll wait for you G If I should fall behind D Wait for me
D Now there's a beautiful river in the valley ahead Bm There 'neath the oak's bough, soon we will be wed GD Should we lose each other in the shadow of the evenings trees Bm I'll wait for you G and should i fall behind D Wait for me Bm Darlin' I'll wait for you G Should I fall behind D Wait for me
