GC I spent 20 years trying to get out of this place AmC I was lookin' for something I couldn't replace GCD I was runnin' away from the only thing I've ever known GC And like a blind dog without a bone AmC I was a gypsy lost in the twilight zone GCD I hijacked a rainbow and crashed into a pot of gold
[Pre-Chorus] EmCG I've been there, done that, I ain't lookin' back BmC The seeds I've sown, saving dimes, spending too much time on the DG telephone... Who says you can't go home...
[Chorus]
GC Who says you can't go home AmC There's only one place that call me one of their own GCDG Just a hometown boy, born a rolling-stone, who says you can't go home CAm Who says you can't go back, been all around the world and C that's a matter of fact GCDG There's only one place left I want to go, who says you can't go home C It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright AmC It's alright, it's alright
[Verse 2]
GC I went as far as I could, I tried to find a new face AmC There isn't one of these lines that I would erase GCD I left a million miles of memories on that road GC And every step I take I know that I'm not alone AmC You take the home from the boy, but not the boy from his home GCD These are my streets, the only life I've ever known G who says you can't go home
[Chorus]
GC Who says you can't go home AmC There's only one place that call me one of their own GCDG Just a hometown boy, born a rolling-stone, who says you can't go home CAm Who says you can't go back, been all around the world and C that's a matter of fact GCDG There's only one place left I want to go, who says you can't go home C It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright AmCG It's alright, it's alright, who says you can't go home C It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright AmDG It's alright, it's alright, who says you can't go home
