Babyshambles is a band formed in London, England by Peter Doherty (Pete) as a side-project to (and later full time after departing) The Libertines.
The band's first single, Babyshambles, was released in April 2004 on High Society Records. Fewer than 1,000 copies of the CD and 7" were released and both can now be found changing hands for more than £50 on internet auction sites such as eBay.
During September and October 2004 Babyshambles embarked on a UK tour culminating in two sold-out shows at the London Scala.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
The rest of the song pretty much repeats the intro with just a few minor changes to the strumming pattern, I wrote in where the chords change over lyrics, so jus listen to the song for strumming pattern, its not hard.
Verse:
EC#m Ive been wandering East of Eden A6B Been lost, cold, lonesome as a sparrow in the rain EC#m I found myself tumbling to a sinking feeling A6 When someone said I done gone wrong B Couldn't feel no shame EE7 I'll be leaving town on the very next train A You can wait for me little girl Am But I won't be coming this way again EC#mA6BEE/Eb9 And it ain't nobody's business if I do
Verse 2:
EC#m There's a slow train rumbling east of a place called Eden A6B Ah, the wind blowing in proud as the trees upon the plain EC#m And a stranger's voice talked to me of liberty and freedom A6 Yeah, it seems like he done gone wrong again B And he wears the hat like shame
EE7 Well he tasted the fruit of another AAm And when his Margie, when she discovered EC#m Said she's gonna love him ten times more A6BEE/Eb9 Ain't nobody's business if she do
Verse 3:
EC#m He said "some men born rich, some men born poor A6 But they're rich in other ways" B Into my heart his wisdom poured
EC#m It's no good crumblin, I'm making tracks to live A6 When I laid my love down in the light B You should've seen all the things my shadow did
EE7 The filth and the fury, the fear and the pain A It's all disappearing now Am Faster than the smoke from this old train EC#mA6BE And it ain't nobody's business if it do EC#mBEE/Eb9 One more time: ain't nobody's business if it do
