Amy Jade Winehouse (born 14 September 1983 in Southgate, London, died 23 July 2011 in Camden, London) was an English singer and composer, known for her eclectic mix of various musical genres including soul, jazz, rock 'n' roll and Rhythm and Blues.
Her musical formation went through listening to such jazz legends as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Sarah Vaughan; she was later influenced by contemporary metropolitan popular music as well. She represented a union of these aesthetics: a happy fusion of '40s jazz

*from 'Frank' (2004)*
*CAPO 3rd FRET*
(Original Key: Cm)
Verse 1:
Am7b5 D7#9 Gm Wish I could say it breaks my heart, like you did in the beginning. Am7b5 D7#9 Gm It's not that we grew a-part; a nightingale no longer singing.
Verse 2:
Am7b5 D7#9 Gm It's something I know you can't do; separate sex with emotion. Am7b5 D7#9 Gm I sleep alone the sun comes up, you're still clinging to that notion.
Bridge 1:
Dmaj7Ebmaj7Dmaj7Ebmaj7Dmaj7 Every thing is slowing down; river of no return. Ebmaj7Dmaj7 D7#9 Reco-gnise my every sound, there is nothing new to learn.
Chorus 1:
Am7b5 D7#9 You'll never get my mind right, like two ships passing in the night, Gm In the night, in the night. Am7b5 D7#9 Want the same thing where we lay, otherwise mines a different way, Gm A different way from where I'm going.
Am7b5 D7#9 Oh, it's you again, listen; this isn't a reunion; Gm So sorry if I turn my head. Am7b5 D7#9 Yours is a familiar face, but that don't make your place safe, Gm In my bed, my bed, my bed.
Am7b5 D7#9 Gm I never thought my memo-ry, of what we had, could be intruded. Am7b5 D7#9 Gm But I couldn't let it be; I needed it as much as you did.
Verse 4:
Am7b5 D7#9 Gm Now its not hard to under-stand, why we just speak at night. Am7b5 D7#9 Gm The only time I hold your hand, is to get the angle right.
Bridge 2:
Dmaj7Ebmaj7Dmaj7Ebmaj7Dmaj7 Every thing is slowing down; river of no return. Ebmaj7Dmaj7 D7#9 Reco-gnise my every sound, there is nothing new to learn.
Chorus 2:
Am7b5 D7#9 You'll never get my mind right, like two ships passing in the night, Gm In the night, in the night. Am7b5 D7#9 Want the same thing where we lay, otherwise mines a different way, Gm A different way from where I'm going.
Am7b5 D7#9 Oh, it's you again, listen; this isn't a reunion; Gm So sorry if I turn my head. Am7b5 D7#9 Yours is a familiar face, but that don't make your place safe, Gm In my bed, my bed, my ba ba dee dee bed.
