Amy Jade Winehouse (born 14 September 1983 in Southgate, London, died 23 July 2011 in Camden, London) was an English singer and composer, known for her eclectic mix of various musical genres including soul, jazz, rock 'n' roll and Rhythm and Blues.
Her musical formation went through listening to such jazz legends as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Sarah Vaughan; she was later influenced by contemporary metropolitan popular music as well. She represented a union of these aesthetics: a happy fusion of '40s jazz

[Intro] Amaj7F#m7, Bm9E9 Amaj7F#m7, Bm9E7b9
[Verse 1] Amaj7Dmaj7C#m7E9 When I walk in your shoes, I understand a man confused. Amaj7Dmaj7 There must have been, but I don't care, C#m7E9 I feel the way your soul does there.
Amaj7Dmaj7C#m7E9 Darling, they empathise, looking through your bloodshot eyes. Amaj7Dmaj7 And I know you; you're so frustrated, C#m7F#7b9 Besides we all become what we once hated.
[Bridge 1] Bm7E7Bm7E7 Be-sides, nobody, can be that wise.
[Chorus 1] Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9 I can't help you, if you won't help your-self. Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9 I can't help you, if you won't help your-self. Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9 You can only get, so much from someone else. Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9 I can't help you, if you won't help your-self.
[Verse 2] Amaj7Dmaj7 You've got a degree, a-in philosophy, C#m7E9 So you think you're clever-er than me. Amaj7Dmaj7 But I'm not just some drama queen, C#m7E9 'Cos it's where you're at; not where you've been.
Amaj7Dmaj7C#m7E9 So what do you ex-pect from me, to hold your head a-bove the sea? Amaj7Dmaj7 And carry you even though you're bigger, C#m7F#7b9 'Cos don't you know you crush my tiny figure?
[Bridge 2] Bm7E7Bm7E7 And anyway, we're still so young, and this isn't yesterday.
[Chorus 2] Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9Amaj7F#m7Bm9E9 I can't help you, if you won't help your-self.
[Break] Dmaj7Cdim You might be twenty five, but in my mind, Amaj7E/G#F#7 I see you as sixteen years old most the time.
Dmaj7Cdim And I'm just a child, and you're full grown, Bm7E9 And you are like nothing I've ever known.
