Verse:
G I think I've been telling lies,
CG cause I've never been in love
EmG Everyone falls for the sunshine disguise,
GDC distracted by who they're thinking of
Verse:
CG I'd rather date an idea
CG Something I'll never find
Em Sure, I'll live in the moment, but I'm never happy here
GDC I'm surrounded by greener looking times
Chorus:
CD Am I the only one wishing life away?
EmG Never caught up in the moment busy begging the past to stay
FEb Memories painted with much brighter ink
G They tell me I loved, teach me how to think
Verse:
CG I'll take what I can get
CG 'Cause I'm too damp for a spark
C Kissing sickly sweet guys 'cause they say they like my eyes
GDC but I'd only ever see them in the dark
Verse:
EmG I'm sick of faking diary entries
CGDC Got to get it in my head; I'll never be sixteen again
CEmG I'm waiting to live, and waiting to love
CDC Oh it'll be over, and I'll still be asking when
Chorus:
CD Am I the only one wishing life away?
EmG Never caught up in the moment busy begging the past to stay
FEb Memories painted with much brighter ink
G They tell me I loved, teach me how to think
