I Can Do Nothing Alone Written and recorded by Bill Anderson [3/4 time]
CG7C I plowed the fields and I planted the seed G7C I worked my hands to the bone C7FC But the ground laid barren till He sent the sunshine G7C For I can do nothing alone
G7C I raised the corn and I rode to the mill G7C With the best crop I ever had grown FC But the wheel wouldn't grind till He stirred the waters G7C For I can do nothing alone
G7C I can do nothing alone G7C I'm weak and my Master is strong C7FC I held the pencil but He wrote this song G7C For I can do nothing alone
G7C And now as my years lead me into the valley G7C I've asked Him to please come home C7FC For I walk in search of the good life hereafter G7C And I can do nothing alone
