Listen to the song to get the strumming. This certainly isn't perfect, but it sounds just fine when played. Email me any necessary changes.
Capo on 1st fret.
[Verse 1]
AmC Are there no fighters left here any more? AmC Are we the generation we've been waiting for? F Or are we patiently burning C G Am G (2 fast double strums with palm mute) Waiting to be saved? AmC Our heroes and icons have mellowed with age AmC Following rules that they once disobeyed F They're now being led CGAmG When they used to lead the way
[Chorus]
FC Do you still believe in all the things GAm that you stood by before? FC Are you out there on the front lines GAm Or at home keeping score? FCGAm Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? FG Or would you rather be the architect of what we might create?
[Verse 2]
AmC They laid out the blueprints, they poured down a base AmC Concrete solutions to slow our decay F And when they are gone C G Am G (2 fast double strums with palm mute) Who the f*ck's gonna take their place? AmC Will it be the cynics, the critics galore? AmC Cliche apathetic passed out on the floor FCGAmG The trusting complicit who collectively ignore
[Chorus]
FC Do you still believe in all the things GAm that you stood by before? FC Are you out there on the front lines GAmG Or at home keeping score? FCGAm Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? FG Or would you rather be the architect of what we might create?
[Bridge]
Am Don't you remember when you were young AmF And you wanted to set the world on fire? GAm Somewhere deep down, I know you do Am And don't you remember when we were young AmF And we wanted to set the world on fire? GAm Because I still am and I still do FCGAm Make no mistake we are not afraid FC To bear the burden of repeating GAm What they're thinking anyway FCGAm Let's raise the stakes on the bet we made FC Let's decide to be the architects GAm The masters of our fate
[Final Chorus]
FC Yeah we still believe in all the things GAm that you stood by before FC And after everything we've seen here GAm Maybe even more FCGAm And I know we're not the only ones we were not the first
FGAm Unapologetically we'll stand behind each word
