Relient K is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio by Matt Thiessen (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Brian Pittman (bass), and Matthew Hoopes (guitar, backing vocals), during the band's junior year in high school and their time at Malone College. The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car, with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the Reliant name.
In 2000, Dave Douglas replaced Stephen Cushman on drums.

I kno there are certain specific names for these chords but then wen chucked in with the lyrics it wud be too crammed to fit the whole names in so lets just stick with simple names yis? and btw for ceratin parts u dont hav to strum the e and B string.. wateva floats ya boat i guess. So just use these chords for the song:
Verse 1: GAm I've given up on giving up slowly C I'm blending in so you won't even know me EmDAmBC Apart from this whole world that shares my fate GAm This one last bullet you mention C Is my one last shot at redemption EmDAmBC Coz I know to live you must give your life away
Pre-Chorus: EmCGD And I've been housing all this doubt and insecurity EmCGD And I've been locked inside that house all the while you hold the key EmCGD And I've been dying to get out and that might be the death of me AmC And even though there's no way of knowing where to go D (chucka-chucka) I promise I'm going because...
Chorus: GDCD I gotta get out of here GDCD I'm stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake GDCD I gotta get out of here EmDC(or Am) D And I'm begging you, I'm begging you, I'm begging you to be my escape
Verse 2: GAm I've given up on doing this alone now C Cause I failed and I'm ready to be shown how EmDAmBC You've told me the way, and I'm trying to get there GAm And this life sentence that I'm serving C I admit that I'm every bit deserving EmDAmBC But the beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair
Pre-Chorus
Chorus: GDCD I gotta get out of here GDCD Coz I'm afraid that this complacency is something I can't shake, yeah GDCD I gotta get out of here EmDCD And I'm begging you, I'm begging you, I'm begging you to be my escape
Bridge: I've split the bridge into two parts, The lead riff: e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|-------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------2-2---------------------------------------------------2---------| A|-------------2-2-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-----------------0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0---------| E|-0-0-0-3-------------------------3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-------------------------|
And the chords: EmC I am a hostage to my own humanity GAm Self-detained and forced to live in this mess I've made EmC And all I'm asking is for you to do what you can with me GAm But I can't ask you to give what you already gave
Pre-Chorus (played single strumming)
Chorus
Outro: The outro is optional coz its played by piano, but I'll tab the chords out anyway:
Em D C only once for the acoustic version, but they do this twice for the original version
GAmC I fought you for so long, I should have let you win EmDC Oh how we regret those things we do GAmCEm And all I was trying to do was save my own skin DC Oh-o, but so were you
End with this: (coz its cool) So were you e|--------0~-----3~-------| B|--3~-----------3~-------| G|---------------0~-------| D|---------------0~-------| A|---------------2~-------| E|---------------3~-------| DEmG
