Peter Allen, born Peter Allen Woolnough (February 10, 1944 – June 18, 1992) was a flamboyant Australian songwriter and live performer. Peter's music and life were the inspiration for Australia's most successful international musical, the multi-award winning "Boy From Oz".
Peter's major television appearances in Australia include, a one hour special called "Up In One", the 1980 Australian Rules Grand Final, the opening of "The Sydney Entertainment Centre"
