Patty Griffin (born Patricia Jean Griffin on March 16, 1964, in Old Town, Maine) is an American Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and musician. Known for her stripped-down songwriting style centered around the folk music genre, her songs have been covered by a host of musicians including Emmylou Harris, Ellis Paul, Rory Block, and the Dixie Chicks. In 2007, she was the recipient of the Americana Music Association's "Artist of the Year" award and her album, Children Running Through, won for "Best Album".
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
note: i've heard this song both done both "unplugged", and the studio version(which i prefer); album version has great electric guitars, distortion, feedback, and that headache-invoking "wall of sound" that i personally find so relaxing. so this is basically just the rhythm guitar part, but it sounds great when you play along with the cd. of course, any feedback(no pun intended), suggestions, corrections, and dinner invitations are welcome. laura~ [email protected] ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Blue Sky By Patty Griffin and Jay Joyce
