New Order is a new wave/synthpop band which formed in 1980 in Salford, England, United Kingdom by the three remaining members of Joy Division. The band's classic lineup consists of Bernard Sumner (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Peter Hook (bass, electronic percussion), Gillian Gilbert (keyboards, guitar) and Stephen Morris (drums, keyboards). The group effectively disbanded in 1993 but reformed in 1998. Gilbert left in 2001 to look after her and Morris' children and was replaced by guitarist/keyboardist Phil Cunningham.

E There was a time I call before A When all I knew was what I saw E The keeper of a major key A I lived in a town called Liberty
EA I worked hard to give you all the things that you need E And almost anything that you see A I spent a lifetime working on you A And you won't even talk to me
EA Can't you see why don't you look at me EA It's not your right to be so much my enemy
E, A
(Main Riff)
E I knew that I could never give A You knew that you could not forgive E No price or pride would fall before A A ten foot wall without a door
EA But you know I watch every step that you make E To find some other fool you can take A And I don't know why I even try A Because it all comes down to this
EA Can't you see why don't you look at me EA It's not your right to be so much my enemy
