A folk-pop ensemble from Los Angeles, California, the five-member Milo Greene are largely centered around vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Marlana Sheetz, although the bandmembers share lead and background vocals and often switch instruments from song to song. Formed in Northern California around 2009, the group originally featured Sheetz, Robbie Arnett, and Andrew Heringer. After relocating to Los Angeles, the trio added singer/multi-instrumentalist Graham Fink and percussionist Curtis Marrero.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
A great song that I have performed with my band many times and I use these chords.
Capo 4
Strumming pattern for most of the song is DUUDUU
Chords Used (frets relative to capo) CEmDAmG E-x--0--x--x--3-| A-3--2--5--0--2-| G-2--2--4--2--0-| D-0--0--0--2--0-| B-1--0--3--1--0-| e-0--0--0--0--3-| (the D is a C chord moved up 2 frets)
Optional Intro (Not in Milo Greenes version but I add one) CEmDCD (strum once then pause) If you want to add a bit of interest to the chord progression I do the following: For the first C flick on and off the B string every down strum after the first, Em same with the flick off/on on the A string then with both the D and the second C use your pinky on the high E string on the 5th fret for the D and the 3rd fret for the C with a flick on and off.
C Under the autumn tree Em The chair where you would swing DC A yard so full of leaves D Comfort me
C A man that resembles me Em Watching his young lady sleep DC Now I'm off to dream D Comfort me
AmC Is this my old shape, my mind is away, GD How long have you been gone AmC The cold winter aged the soft of your face D And I cant move on
Instrumental with Ooo's CEmCEm
C My good morning sun Em Fish from an early hunt DC I wait but you're gone D Linger on
AmC Is this my old shape, my mind is away, GD How long have you been gone AmC The cold winter aged the soft of your face D And I cant move on
C Linger on (Linger on) Em Linger on (Linger on) D I cant move on
This 'Linger On' section is repeated 4 times with the same chords with the chorus lyrics and a changed melody sung on top and then Ooh's from this backing singer.
