Mayday Parade was born in 2005 when two popular Tallahassee bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment, decided to merge and form one group. Both bands had been friends for a long time but they each seemed to have different kind of holdups. They pooled their resources, booted out the undedicated members and decided to take the good from each band and move forward. Armed with a dynamic lead singer Derek Sanders of Defining Moment, Mayday Parade explodes with energy and personality.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Tabbed by Vince [[email protected]] Figured it out by ear. And it's not the same as every other damn tab out there. It's as accurate as I can make it.
----------------------------------------------- C Katy don't cry I know GAm You're trying your hardest F And the hardest part is letting C Go of the nights we shared GAmG Ocala is calling and you know it's haunting FGAmC But compared to your eyes nothing shines quite as bright FGAmC And when we look to the sky it's not mine but I want it so
[chorus] C Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight GAm (I know he's there) G You're probably hanging out and making eyes F (While across the room he stares) G I bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor AmG And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes
FGAm Because these words were never easier for me to say CF Or her to second guess G But I guess FG That I can live without you but FGC Without you I'll be miserable at best
G You're all that I hoped I'd find Am In every single way G And everything I could give C Is everything you couldn't take GAm Cause nothing feels like home you're a thousand miles away G And the hardest part of living F Is just taking breaths to stay G Because I know I'm good for something Am I just haven't found it yet GC But I need it, so
[chorus]
C, G, Am, F CGAmGC (Ladada ladada ladada oh ohhh)
G And this will be the first time in a week
That I'll talk to you Am And I can't speak G It's been three whole days since I've had sleep C Because I dream of his lips on your cheek
And I got the point that I should leave you alone G But we both know that I'm not that strong AmG And I miss the lips that made me fly
C So let's not pretend like you're alone tonight GAm (I know he's there) G You're probably hanging out and making eyes F (while across the room, he stares) G I bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor AmG And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes FGAm Because these words were never easier for me to say CF Or her to second guess G But I guess FG That I can live without you but AmG Without you I'll be miserable FG And I can live without you AmG But without you I'll be miserable FG And I can live without you AmGC Oh, without you I'll be miserable at best
