Intro

G Bm Em C G 2x

G Bm Em C G
I rode around on a scootex with eyeliner spots painted on my face
G Bm Em C G
tried to figure who wrote their name in the cement it was more about the process than the result
G Bm Em C G
and in an instant best forgotten, we went from ripe to rotten.
G Bm Em C G
I found a twenty in my wallet and walked away

D
to find a boy who to treat me right
Em C
hold me tight, all night
G Bm Em C G
and not ask me too many questions.
G Bm Em C G
you ask me too many questions

G Bm Em C G
Well I remember the penguin march in Whipsnade zoo and you we're there too
G Bm Em C G
I put worms in the neighbours' sunbed ..... and blamed it on you
G Bm Em C G
and in an instant best forgotten, we went from ripe to rotten.
G Bm Em C G
I found a stick of gum in my pocket and walked away

D
to find a boy who to treat me right
Em C
hold me tight, all night
G Bm Em C G
and not ask me too many questions.
G Bm Em C G
you ask me too many questions

D
like “why do you do the things you are doing
C
and what are thinking of when you are doing them?
D
what do you mean when you say what you’re saying
C D C
and what do you think about meeeee eeeee?”

G Bm Em C G
