The Get Up Kids are a Kansas City-based American emo band. Formed in 1995, the band was a major player in the mid-90's emo scene, otherwise known as the "second wave" of emo music. As they gained prominence, they began touring with bands such as Green Day and Weezer before becoming headliners themselves, eventually embarking on international tours of Japan and Europe. They founded Heroes & Villains Records, an imprint of the successful indie rock label Vagrant Records.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Holiday Acoustic - The Get Up Kids ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Sean Hummer Email: [email protected]
Someone requested that I tab this song into an acoustic version so I gave it a shot. I don't know that The Get Up Kids have ever actually played this song acoustically but these chords can also be used for the rhythm to the electric version.
Beneath the chords I included a tab of how to play this acoustically with my version of the lead/melody included in the rhythm chords.

This is another version I created on acoustic that is very similar to the one above except it includes some lead/melody for those wishing for an acoustic version that sounds more like the album.
(I'll update the chorus/etc. when I'm finished with this rhythm/lead hybrid)
