GDEB Ah
G When you came to see me DEB In that hospital bed G They had pulled out the plug DEB And they had left me for dead
G I had started on a journey D Down that tunnel of light E One look in your eyes B And everything was alright G When you came to see me DEB In that hospital bed
[intro] GDEB Ah
G And now we’ve got a little time DEB Before that trumpet sounds G And the earth rises up DEB To swallow me down
G Will you stay here now D At the end of my days E Will you give me your heart B Until that sad waltz plays? G Will you stay beside me DEB In that hospital bed?
[intro] GDEB Ah
G So draw the curtains D Look out for the nurse E You said you loved me B for better and for worse G For richer, for poor D In sickness and in health E You have held onto my hand B Though it’s a bad hand I’ve been dealt G Will you stay beside me DEB In that hospital bed? G Will you stay beside me DEB In that hospital bed?
