The Cave Singers is an American folk trio from Seattle, Washington. Their music is folk for a rainy day: surprising, yet cozy, sparse, yet harmonious, pleasing yet torturous.
Rising from the ashes of Pretty Girls Make Graves after its disbandment in 2007, former PGMG-member Derek Fudesco teamed up with Pete Quirk (of Hint Hint) and Marty Lund (of Cobra High) and began playing in the Seattle area. Soon after the band's conception, The Cave Singers signed with Matador Records on June 11, 2007.

Tuning: Standard, Capo on 2nd fret.
Very good song, and easy, as most good songs seem to be. The entire song is made-up of chords with a little extra bit, which is at the end of the verse in the chorus "you tell night we are through", just before you say the word "through" and switch to the C chord, your hand still in the Fmaj7 position, pluck the High E open, then the B with your finger on the third fret, then pluck the B again with your first/index finger still on first fret, then go to the C chord. Listen for timing. That and some careful strumming you're good.
CFmaj7 In the cold eyes of criminals, I drank in the wild laughter C Isn't that my laughter that I'm laughing now? CFmaj7 And in the cold eyes a terrible storm reaches with wild thunder C Isn't that the thunder that I call my home? Dm7Fmaj7C But go tell the night, you tell the night we are through Dm7Fmaj7C And go tell the night, you tell the night when we are through CFmaj7 And in the old dives of parallels, I stirred in the waitress’s wonder C Oh what’s the waitress wondering about? CFmaj7 And in the old dives of parallels, I stood on a stage of tables C Aren’t those the tables I’m diving from? Dm7Fmaj7C But go tell the night, you tell the night when we are through Dm7Fmaj7C And under cold candlelight, I wait here to be rescued Dm7Fmaj7C And go tell the night, you tell the night when we are through Dm7Fmaj7C And under cold candlelight, I wait here to be rescued.
