The Brandos are probaly the best live rockband of the USA. They're music is a mixture of roots-rock, american-civil-war-folk, irish folk and with their new album - Over The Border (2006) - also mexican folk. It has been nearly eighteen years since this New York quartet - featuring original members Dave Kincaid on vocals and guitars and Ernie Mendillo on bass, along with later additions Frank Giordano (guitar, vocals), and former Del Lords' drummer Frank Funaro - unleashed their trademark guitar-rock sound to the world.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Band : Brandos Song : Hard times Taken from : The light of day (1994) Written by : Dave Kincaid Chorded by : Wilbert Huigens Corrections : send to : [email protected]
[verse] DA So these these are the hard times GA The ones we've been hearing about DA And like in "a streetcar named desire" GA We're struggling to work it out
[verse] And these, these are the lean times The ones we never thought that we'd see And it's just like in "the grapes of wrath" Except it's happening to you and me
[Chorus] GD And it feels like I'm standing out-side of myself CD As we act out our desperate scenes GD Like watching an old-time black and white movie CD Starring you and me GD And the feelings are so intensely real CD That they don't seem real at all GD I can't bear to see your pain CD Or to watch your teardrops fall
[verse] They say they say of these hard times They kill you or they make you strong And like in "city for conquest" I'm wondering what went wrong
[verse] As we go through these hard times I can't get past my disbelief That this isn't really a very bad dream And soon I'll wake to see
[verse] The end, the end of these hard times Every movie's got to end As it fades to black and the curtains close To reality again
