Texas Is the Reason was an emo band founded by former Shelter guitarist Norm Arenas and 108 drummer Chris Daly in 1994. A foundational quartet in the post-Sunny Day Real Estate movement of emo music, Texas Is the Reason played melodious but forceful rock music before disbanding in 1997.

The verse is played with some more Gs : GGGFFGGGFFFFGGGFFFFBBBB. (something like that) The chorus is played palm mute (verse rhythm).
I really had trouble hearing the lyrics, maybe someone out there can help me out. -- Verse: Well, I think I finally thought of how to act every time you come around. I think I'm finally sick of faking it.
